Meet Caleigh!

Caleigh is a Rhode Island native, singer, dancer, actress, choreographer, libra, and animal lover. She is a proud graduate from Rhode Island College with a B.A. in musical theater and a B.A. in dance performance.

Caleigh began dance classes at her local YMCA at age 3, and starred in her first show: Sleeping Beauty, in first grade. Since then, she has continued to fall in love with performing on stage through musicals, recitals, competitions, and more. She most recently played Lucinda in The Contemporary Theater Company’s production of Into The Woods. Some of her favorite credits include: Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, DeeDee Allen in The Prom, Meredith Parker in Bat Boy, and Mopsa in Head Over Heels.

During her time at RIC, she was fortunate enough to have multiple opportunities to be on stage. She performed in 5 musicals and 2 plays. She was also a member of the modern dance company and participated in several guest artist residencies and student choreography performances. She worked with guest choreographers such as David Dorfman, Paula Josa Jones, Marta Renzi, and Geo Hubela. She also choreographed two of her own group dances as well as a solo for the student choreography showcase during her time with the company.

Up next, she will be playing Brenda Strong in Catch Me If You Can at the Barker Playhouse in Providence, RI. Performances will run weekends from December 3-20. For more information and to purchase tickets visit: https://www.playersri.org
